  Vision Elevators has begun the blueprinting process for a new SAP ERP system to be implemented from early 2012. We are confident the quality management processes that result from its implementation will assist us in our goal of ISO accreditation.

  Vision Elevators has been able to achieve the goal of improving on our Level 4 BBBEE status achieved last year and are proud to announce our 110% Procurement Recognition Level 3 BBBEE status for the most recent audit. Still a Qualifying Small Enterprise, we hope that we can still meet these levels in the next audit.

  Vision Elevators has recently been approved with a 5SI grading designation with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).

  ‘The cidb was established to provide leadership to stakeholders and to stimulate sustainable growth, reform and improvement of the construction sector for effective delivery and the industry’s enhanced role in the country’s economy.’ - Excerpt from the CIDB homepage.

  We hope the achievement of this grading along with our BBBEE Level 3, will result in more successful tender opportunities for government contracts that require this criteria.

  The Lift, Escalator and Passenger Conveyor Regulations have been gazetted under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Elevator safety in South Africa is governed by 3 sets of regulations; The Occupational Health and Safety Act, the SANS 10400 Building Regulations and now the SANS 1545 Sarety Rules for the construction and installation of lifts.  Please contact us for further information on how this will affect you and your building in terms of vertical transportation design and implementation.

  Vision Elevators is proud to announce our 100% procurement recognition level attained with a Level 4 contributor status as verified by SANAS BBBEE Verification Agency.  Our continued commitment to this initiative means we will aim to improve on this level by the next verification audit.

  Vision Elevators manufacturing facility – Wesant, has moved premises and now occupies 1100m2 of office and factory space in Mahogany Ridge, Westmead.  This move was necessary in order to make space for the new steel fabrication machinery recently purchased.  The purchase of these machines will prove invaluable in streamlining the in-house sheet metal fabrication process.  Wesant further intends to expand their machinery base with new CNC turning machine as well as a CNC Bending Press in the near future

  Vision Elevators has recently been granted workplace approval to train apprentices in the Lift Mechanic discipline. Listed on the Critical and Scarce Skills List of 2009/2010, the need to train candidates for skills in this discipline is paramount for the ongoing skills transfer process in the lift industry. We hope to make a marked affect in this regard in the coming years.
